I live in southern Michigan and love to photograph birds and flowers. I have always used Olympus cameras and I am thinking about buying their last and newest camera, the OM-1. I have heard a lot of good things about it and I am sure it will be my last camera as it is pretty costly. One thing I have learned about cameras is that you must learn to use the camera you have. Don't expect the camera to do everything for you. Practice, practice, practice. Also if photographing birds you must have a lot of patience. Happy shooting to the Better Photo family.
