About Lisa K. Pullen
Oliver Wendell Holmes said, “Once the mind has been stretched by a new idea, it will never again return to its original size.” In June 2003, a small box arrived on my doorstep containing a tool that forever stretched my mind and changed the way I see. The instant feedback of digital photography combined with the limitless possibilities of imaging software launched my creativity and vision into a whole new realm...sunsets became symphonies and sonnets…colors harmonized in concert…trees leaped and danced in the wind. Capturing the essence of my subjects as God reveals them to me has not only become a means of self-expression but an act of worship and praise. These images are responses to the miracles taking place before my lens—everyday beauty and discoveries in the Shenandoah Valley and beyond. They are portals in which God whispers to me the nature and wonder of light, shadow, color, design, texture, and shape—intimate spaces and daedal places of suppositions, solace, and surrender. Thank you for sharing my Vision of Praise for God’s miraculous world.
